Wrap Testers And Torsion Testers / Testing Machines Wrap Tester is used to test the ductility of the Spring Wire. The Wrap Tester coils the wire in the spring form which is further checked for cracks and fractures. Torsion Tester is used to test the brittleness and other flaws of the Spring Wire. Also, the Reverse Torsion test can be performed on this setup. Reverse Torsion Testers / Testing Machines The Reverse Torsion Test is very much similar to the Torsion Test. In the Reverse Torsion Test, the Wire Sample is twisted for the Specified number of turns in forward direction then for the same number of turns in the reverse direction. After the completion of Reverse Torsion Test, the Wire Sample is then inspected as per the standard test specification.
Wrap Testers / Testing Machines In the Wrap Test, the wire is coiled in a closely spaced helix around a mandrel of a specified diameter for a prescribed number of turns. The wire can then be visually inspected for any cracks or deformations.
Coiling Testers / Testing Machines Coiling test is performed on the Spring Wires upto diameter 0.70 mm. This test is perform to access the uniformity of the Spring Wire under the coiling deformation. Bending Testers / Testing Machines Bending Tester is used to bend the Spring Wire in U form around a mandrel of a specified diameter. The bent Wire is then inspected for the visual deformations. A hydraulic actuator is used for the bending of the Spring Wire.
